CAMPUS 2.0 was created by development directors, alumni, and fundraising specialists who who did not find an affordable and easy-to-use alumni relationship development tool. They focused on creating software that delivered value for their alumni first and fundraising second. The result was a diverse and vibrant community of hundreds of alumni, students, and faculty within weeks after the software was launched.

• Profile pages for all users: An extensive secure online questionnaire to collect user contact information and create profile with questions on education, occupation, hobbies, interests
• Groups: Users can be members of various affinity groups that they can create on their own or that the school creates. Users will be able to find other members of Campus 2.0 with similar interests and corresponding needs or plan group events. Alumni, by default, are grouped by year of graduation.
• Email Messages: Users do not have to share their private email addresses to get messages. All private and public messages are accessible to the user when log onto their Campus 2.0 page. Users are free to communicate and contact old friends without paying fees or getting spam! Administrators are freed from the hassle of managing unwieldy email servers.
• Classifieds: A place for users to post and search for goods and services. Similar to craigslist but more focused on the needs of your alumni in an environment that they can trust.
• Job Postings: Continue to add value in the lives of your former students. This area can include summer and permanent job postings.
• Event Calendar: Allows users to organize and post alumni events or find an event in their area. Users will also have access to a calendar for school-wide events. Give your alumni all over the world the ability to easily plan alumni events.
• Online Donations: Users can donate to the school. Alumni representatives can quickly and easily send donation requests to groups of alumni. Users who are hosting or planning alumni events can charge admission fees that are sent directly to the school.
• Photo galleries: Look at my kids! See my new look! Alumni will love posting their pictures for free in a safe environment for their old friends to see.
• Email Newsletter: Your Development Office can email everyone or specific groups with a smartly designed newsletter. Never worry about importing and exporting email addresses to 3rd parties or paying a recurring fee for the same service.
• Safety Suite: Your alumni and their families deserve a safer place to interact than friendster or myspace. Campus 2.0's safety suite allows administrators to easily monitor and remove offensive material and pictures. And of course, your alumni's contact information will never be sold.
