SAT and ACT Test Prep Options
Dozens of options exist for SAT and ACT test prep, ranging from free Websites to private tutoring. What’s best is what works for you. The following list of independent test prep providers is not comprehensive, nor do we endorse any particular provider. Some students are successful working alone with a test prep book like Princeton Review or Kaplan. Others need the support of a class or a tutor.
Students should keep in mind that their academic classes are more important than SAT and ACT scores. While we encourage students to invest time in learning SAT/ACT strategies and reviewing test content, their top goal should be to do their very best work in school courses.
Most years, Dunn School hosts a weekend course provided through Princeton Review or Ivy West. In 2012, Dunn will host an 18 hour class offered through Princeton Review over a series of weekends. Scholarships may be available to qualified students.
Please contact Dunn’s college counselor, Jessie Brumfiel, with any questions you may have, and for more information about the 2012 test prep class: jbrumfiel@dunnschool.org or 805-686-0649.
