This year, our second, is going to be bigger and better than ever!
Not only will you be raising lots of money for a truly amazing cause, but also we have amazing raffle prizes to offer! We have prizes, fun and bragging rights at stake! So don’t miss out!
What the heck is a Bowl-a-thon anyway?
A crazy fun way to raise money to help women who can’t afford it to pay for their abortions. It’s all about “bowling over” barriers!
First, find 4-6 of your awesome, fun, committed (or interested) friends or colleagues, come up with a team name that reflects you and your fabulous, difference making selves, register your team and start raising some money for abortion access.
We have so much faith in your commitment to making a difference and your efforts to recognize that women and their partners, and families are faced with difficult decisions every day, that we are giving free WMARF T-shirts to every bowler who raised $300 or more!
We are asking each team to raise $600. If you are a student team you need to raise at least $150. It may sound like a lot, but think of it this way. If there are 6 bowlers that's only $100 per person. Find 10 friends ask them to contribute $10 and you are there!
Finally, on April 21st come to our bowl-a-thon and knock down barriers for women!
Why should I bowl?
Money raised helps us to ensure:

Abortion is a basic health care right, limiting access to funds disproportionately affects women of color, women of low-income and younger women.

Supporting marginalized communities and peoples is part of the core of reproductive justice.

Last year we raised $10,000 which helped us assist 20 women in paying for their abortions and dignified caring care. We need your help to continue this important work!

Abortion Funds like us fill a vital health care gap by helping women get the health care they want and need. We believe that every woman should have the right to shape her own life and the right to care for herself and her family with dignity.
The Abortion Rights Fund of Western Massachusetts (ARFWM) believes that every woman and girl should be able to have only the children she wants to have. With your help, ARFWM can continue to make this vision a reality by providing direct financial assistance to women and girls seeking abortions who cannot afford them.
