The Day of the Event
Hike Intentions and Highlights
Registration for the hike begins at 8:30 am. The group will gather together at 9:30 am to collectively set the intention for the hike. At the peak vista of hike, SpiritWalkers will have the opportunity to write their intentions for the year and place them in the SpiritWalk time capsule. Walkers who participated in last year's SpiritWalk can retrieve their intentions from the 2012 time capsule and reflect on their accomplishments over the past year.
About the Trail
Point Mugu State Park was selected both for its natural beauty and level of challenge. The trail starts at the Ray Miller Trailhead, and includes parts of La Jolla Canyon Trail, Loop Trail and Mugu Peak Trail. Last year we had
many people of all different abilities complete the walk. The SpiritWalk hiking
route is 6.8 miles and is of moderate difficulty. The hike will take anywhere
from 3 to 5 hours to complete, depending on your individual pace. SpiritWalkers
will have plenty of support and opportunity for rest along the way.
Celebrate at the After Party with Food and Entertainment
Thanks to generous donations from our Food and Entertainment Sponsors, healthy and delicious food and beverages will be offered before and after the hike. Uplifting music and entertainment will be featured at the after party as well. The festivities start around 1 pm, and are expected to wrap up around 4 pm.
Experience Relaxation and Healing at The Nurturing Tent
individuals will donate their time and talents in areas such as massage,
chiropractic care, Reiki and other energetic modalities to nurture the body,
mind and soul of any SpiritWalk participant. Get more details about the Nurturing Tent Complimentary Services!
